For its 30th anniversary Prandina presents "Sand, Fire and Air" an installation telling the story of glass from its material origin: the sand. The glass grains states the exhibition fil-rouge, focusing the products design from its genesis through the whole manufacturing process. The installation layout has a twofold meaning, emotional and narrative: it states the glass design as the main topic unveiling the secrets and peculiarities of the traditional and contemporary processing techniques. This tale develops along a path meeting various experiences confirming, between past, present and future the Prandina strong and definitive connection to this material.

Prandina is present with a nice supply in the new Alitalia’s lounge, located in terminal 1 of Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome Fiumicino. The new space is called “Dolce Vita”  to honour the famous Italian movie tradition and it has been inaugurated the 7^th of March in the presence of important and popular personalities of the show business. 700 square meters of Made inItaly celebration, a space carefully designed to exalt food and wine’s culture, style and innovation, to satisfy every need and to offer to the flagship company’s passengers the Italian elegance. The lounge, designed by Robiliant and realized with the cooperation of Paolo Castelli Spa, realizes a new concept of lounge: no more just a relax and waiting place, but a real flagship store of values and characteristic elements of the brand and of the Italian excellence in the world, thanks also to the participation and supplies of the best Italian brands, among which Prandina, illy Eataly, B&B Italia, MDF Italia, Gruppo SIntesi e FSC Professional Show Spa. The Prandina’s lamp Loft F31 has been chosen to light up the “Green Tube”, an internal structure of the lounge that reminds of an aircraft’s nacelle. Loft, design by Admiraal & Captein, is a collection of lamps available in floor, table and suspension verisons, versatile and customizable to best fit every kind of requested style.The fabric diffuser of Loft hides a plexiglass structure that thanks to the differentiated lighting of the sources, creates a pattern of lights and shadows with an high graphic impact and unexpected arrangements. In the new Alitalia's Lounge you can find the floor version of Loft, with a white fabric diffuser and a special base designed to allow the hidden insertion of the wires into the floor of the room.

Prandina and THEA Light Works, a project based organization in Hyderabad, India have reached an agreement for the distribution of the Prandina collection in the South part of India.

“We are now working on a strong reorganization of our worldwide sales network” stated Marco Andretta, Sales Director of Prandina, “and the agreement with THEA confirms the strategy of the company to work with important local players on exclusive basis and with the goal of building a long term partnership.” Prandina is one of the few companies that is constantly investing in blown glass products as the new collection Gong, Tiara, Bloom and Chorus demonstrate.

THEA is a project based organization keen on only doing European Lighting and in the last few years has successfully completed a lot of high residences, project offices, hotels and public spaces.

“Working with a brand like Prandina exclusively in our market will strengthen our portfolio and bring to our clients high quality designer luminaries” stated Dashak Agarwal, Business Development Manager at THEA.

THEA, through its sales staff, is working with Architects, Interior Designers and Lighting Designers not only in the South of India, but all over the country and in the Asian market as well.
